Code of Conduct

Last updated: May 31, 2026

The PNW Whole Blood Summit brings together prehospital clinicians, physicians, blood-bank partners, researchers, and agency leaders. We are committed to a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for every participant — in person and online.

1. Expected Behavior

  • Treat every attendee, speaker, sponsor, and staff member with respect.
  • Engage in good-faith discussion; disagree on ideas, not on people.
  • Respect patient privacy — de-identify any clinical case discussion.
  • Follow venue safety instructions and any applicable health protocols.

2. Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, veteran status, or any protected characteristic.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention, comments, or contact.
  • Threats or violence of any kind.
  • Sharing identifiable patient information or recording attendees without consent.
  • Disruption of sessions or the venue.

3. Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code, please contact summit staff on-site or email [email protected]. Reports will be handled promptly and confidentially to the extent possible.

4. Consequences

Organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a warning, removal from a session, expulsion from the summit without refund, or a ban from future events.

5. Scope

This Code applies to all summit venues and activities, official social events, and online channels operated by the summit.
